About Premier Wiring Services
The original founder Alan Boxshall is a passionate car enthusiast who started working as a travelling representative for Norfolk Auto Looms, a company that sold racecar looms in Norfolk, England. Alan was good at his job and built excellent relationships with clients over the years. However, in the late summer of 1989, the business went through a difficult period, and Alan was made redundant.

With limited job opportunities available in that part of the country, Alan decided to take the bold step of starting his own company making looms. By that time, he had already established a network of contacts in the industry and built a reputation for himself. In early 1990, Alan set up Premier Wiring, and he also found some other outlets for looms with the early kit car manufacturers.

Starting a new business from scratch was not easy, but Alan and his wife were determined to succeed. They began selling their looms at all the major Showground Kitcar shows, travelling to Donnington, the 3 Counties show, Exeter, Detling, Stafford, and the world-famous Stoneleigh Kit Car Show. They were tireless in their efforts to promote their products and build a customer base.

Premier Wiring received a significant boost when the late Den Tanner gave them a sizable order. This helped the company establish itself and gain more recognition in the market. Alan and his team continued to work hard, relentlessly refining their products and improving their services.
Alan moved to Edinburgh when his daughter was studying at Edinburgh University setting up Premier in Camps Industrial estate near Livingston.
Patrick Quinlan became good friends with Alan purchasing many looms from him as well as other electrical parts during his time in the Edinburgh area.
Time moved on and Alan's family decided to move to Spain taking the business with him.
Roll on a few years and Patrick met Tony McMahon online who lives in the South of Spain. Tony owns an Argentinian-built Lotus Seven that had severe wiring problems.
Patrick offered up his services for free to go and install a new wiring loom for Tony in Spain in exchange for some sunshine.
Patrick looked up Alan to purchase a loom for the project and just by chance he wasn't far away from Tony's location. Alan provided the loom and Patrick tooled up and flew to Spain to do the installation and catch up with Alan.
Well, old friendships were kindled once more and a deal was struck
to get the Premier wiring Ebay account activated once again in the UK.
One thing led to another and upon Alan's retirement to Thailand
the loom-making was moved back to Scotland in 2019 .

Today, Premier Wiring is a well-established company that provides quality looms to racing enthusiasts kit car builders and manufacturers worldwide.
Patrick's passion for cars and his commitment to providing the best possible products and services have helped keep Premier Wiring a respected name in the industry.
